It is the year 684 after Christ’s ascension, and in the lands surrounding the Africa-Asia boarder are in turmoil. Mankind has ruled in these countries since civilisation reached the area. But creatures previously unimagined are appearing in certain countries, and are gaining more and more power.
In Eychypt, ancient guardians of tombs have arisen once more. The N’Tan are the skeleton-like horrors that guard tombs from robbers. Those unfortunate enough to encounter the N’Tan hardly ever survive to tell the tale. And now they have left their tombs behind and have entered into the lands of the living.
Over in Igrondis, where once day and night were of equal danger, night has become a place of great terror. The country’s leaders have imposed a curfew as, during the night hours, Vampires and the less common but far more dangerous Vampyrs roam in search of Human flesh and blood. If that were not terrible enough by itself, once a month the unfortunate percentage of the population become as dangerous as the vampires. For these are the Werewolves, the Werebears, the Weretigers.
The leaders of both Eychypt and Igrondis have taken full advantage of their new found terrors, however, and have entire legions in their armies made of just their supernatural allies. However, the N’Tan, Vampires, Vampyrs, and Werebeasts are all bound by one common element. Without the darkness in which they call home, they are nothing, stripped of their powers, and will die if left in light for only a short time.
In fear of their neighbours’ new power, the countries of Jordoana and Paleonyne have formed alliances. Jordoana has allied with Eychypt, and Paleonyne with Igrondis. However, these are not the only alliances. Approximately eighteen years ago, when the creatures of the night first appeared, the countries Tiquar and Tiquarno formed an alliance. The two countries had once been one, but had split apart after civil war. Now they have combined their power, and they have been building up their forces ever since. Their army is like no other, using camels to race over the desert, their attacks come swiftly, and they end just as quickly.
King Leto of Chaudi Arabia has also been forming alliances. He has spoken personally with the leaders of Enzed and Jenesys, the two Elven countries, where man holds little power. The Wood Elves of Enzed were as trusting as they are famed to be, and signed the treaty quickly. The Mountain Elves of Jenesys were less sure, and it was down to their close allies in Enzed to make them sign.
So the stage is set, the lights dimmed, and the seats filled. What is left is to determine who will roll the dice first. Will it be a swift start from the Tiquarn alliance? How about a true nightmare from Eychypt or Igrondis? Will Jordoana and Paleonyne rush to prove themselves to their new allies? Or will the stealth of the Wood Elves, the strength of Man, and the sheer resilience of the Mountain Elves be enough to prevent a war?
YOU are one of the citizens of Chaudi Arabia, Enzed, or Jenesys. Man or Elf, YOU can be anything from a simple peasant, a worker, or a tradesman, to a soldier, an ambassador, or a personal assistant to King Leto himself. Keep an eye out for Vampires, N’Tan, or enemy spies, or simply look after yourself, and ignore the troubles of the land. The choice is YOURS.
Flags.
